October Fest Omaha Concert reviews
Elton John
Rocket Man was a dreamy lullaby. A varied setlist that borrowed heavily from Yellowbrick Road and Madman Across The Water. I was not disappointed except for Crocodile Rock. Sound quality was clear and not overbearing. Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters was dedicated to the resilience of New Yorkers and sung with profound emotion. Excellent 63rd Garden performance. Sad Songs was a rocking and swaying song. October Fest piano playing is better now than when he was younger. That is a throw away song that could be easily replaced with a quality song from his seemingly endless catalogue, such as Take Me To The Pilot or Burn Down The Mission. Don't miss this concert if you have a chance to see him.
